mommy's little sparkler...

we headed to our neighborhood park for the annual picnic and fireworks show. we looked like our own parade...will on his bike, daddy with emma kate in the wagon and wyatt and i bringing up the rear with the caddy;) everything was going great...until about the time we finally sat down to eat our dinner. a few drops of rain turned into buckets within seconds and what seemed like the entire neighborhood tried to cram under the pavillion. dr. l came to the rescue to help me get the stroller with the two babies under cover. daddy and will weren't far behind. so we waited it out for 20 minutes or so and i was ever so thankful i hadn't worn a white shirt;) once the rain stopped, i ran back to the house for some towels and we carried on as usual. until i realized that my camera was in the bottom of the stroller. sad.SAD.day. it's at the canon doctor now, and i miss it like crazy. stupid rain. anyway, these aren't great pics...but it's all i've got:) will thinks fireworks are awesome, and emma kate did, too...as long as her daddy was holding her;) wyatt ate a bottle and slept through it all...sweet, sweet baby. gram joined us the evening of the 4th, to be here during will's week of swim lessons. we were all so glad to see her, but hated that gramps couldn't join her. so that was our big weekend. happy birthday, america...so thankful to live in the land of the free.
