mr. incredible!!!

my friend, mauree, {who's a mom of three boys!} has been telling me for months..."it will all click when he turns 3...it's the magic number". wise words that proved to be true about 3 weeks before his 3rd birthday;)

this post is really for me, so that i'll remember...not because i think family and friends are super interested in the details of pottytraining! i bought an elmo potty at the beginning of last summer...hoping he would get on board and we'd be done by the time school started and before emma kate's arrival. he seemed fairly interested...but was really just completely content with his diapers...ha. wet or dirty diapers just didn't bother him too much. i'd heard and read not to push it too much...if they don't seem ready, stop and try again later. so we did. i also was not very consistant with it...my business boomed in july and i was cranking out 10 or 12 orders a week with no MDO all summer. that combined with chasing a two year old around and being pregnant didn't leave me with much time or motivation, i guess. then emma kate was born, and we were just in survival mode...so it took a total backseat. anyway, after the holidays, it was back on the radar and the weekend we were at Gram and Gramps' house, he only wore diapers when he slept and had ZERO accidents...we were so proud! and on top of that, each of us thought the other had put a diaper on him for the trip home...only to find out that neither did and he rode the entire way home with no accidents! he and warren had to run to the grocery store after we got home for a few things and while they were there will told warren "i need to go potty"...and that was his first time to potty in a public bathroom...amazing. now i do have to say that
