update on the bun...

"Whenever the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and all living creatures of every kind on the earth." Genesis 9:16

we took this self portrait the day of our first doctor's appointment when i was pregnant with Will...the day it was really "official" August 2006

taken the same day...horrible of me, but i love the rainbow...a reminder of God's promises...August 2006

and this lovely photo was taken the day we found out i was pregnant with baby #2...on the way home from the hospital after an exhausting and painful day. it was awesome to get such good news on that day...that, along with God's strategically placed rainbow...He always knows just what we need;)

disclaimer: this part is mostly for me and documentation-sake...since this is about the only way i document anything these days, so feel free to skip over it:) how very different this pregnancy has been from my first;) of course we found out about this one at the doctors office the day of my kidney stone attack...a very long day of tests and drama, which makes me think it might be a girl! i was barely pregnant at the time, and the doctors were very concerned because it was so early in the pregnancy. but we are happy to report that this baby is doing well...all reports have been great so far...what a blessing! time is flying by...hard to believe we're almost to the halfway point! but as a (currently 9 mos. pregnant) friend reminded me...the first half goes by a lot faster than the second...so very true! i also remember reading so much when i was pregnant with Will. we had a book that told what was happening with him on a daily basis...so i knew the day that he developed fingernails, etcetera. not so much, this time around...i'm doing good to remember my doctors appointments or how many weeks along i am;) life is just totally different with a two year old, which might explain why i'm more tired this time around, too! but i wouldn't want it any other way...Will brings so much joy to our lives...what a precious gift! we find out what we are having (hopefully this baby cooperates better than Will did!) the first week of June...can't wait!

I will never forget the "special rainbow" God gave me one time for a sign of hope right when I needed it most. Some people think I'm nuts. Thank you for sharing. Love you, Mom, AKA Grannie
