First Day of "School"

So my baby went to "school" for the first time today...what a big boy! He's going two mornings a week at our church and I think he is going to love it! His teachers are wonderful and they definitely have their hands full with this group!

This photo is so pitiful on so many levels, I almost didn't post it! This is a very unhappy Will before we even left home this morning and here's why:
1) He normally wakes up on his own and doesn't so much appreciate being woken up (wonder where he gets this?!!)
2) I think he's embarrassed because of his jacket that is way too little...creating the 80's "crop" effect! (mommy disclaimer: I'm sure many of you are wondering why my child is so often pictured in long sleeves during the summer...and this could really be a whole other post, but in short...Will doesn't have a favorite blankie or lovie...his security thing is his sleeve...a MUST have if he is upset or sleepy...hence, the jacket. And we use the baby legs Bek gave us as "emergency sleeves"...like I said, pitiful.
3) He did NOT want to wear his cute little backpack for this photo...

He cried when I left him in his room, but had stopped by the time I finished filling out his form...which made this mommy feel much better! And when I went to pick him up, I peeked in the door and he was playing and having a big time! Here's his first daily report:

He was so worn out from his morning of fun...couldn't even wait on his bed to get started on his nap!
