yes, that's right. this is what time my child finally gave up the ship last night. we've had quite the week...in a nutshell: ear infection, major puke all over me while we were looking at a house with our realtor, EXTREME allergic reaction to penicillin in the form of full-body hives/whelps/fever (there will be no photos of this, i don't think the grandparents could handle it...but he closely resembled jermain "bad intentions" taylor after a few blows to the face), finally mastered the art of crawling and sitting back up from the crawling position. he has really been a trooper about all of it, though he has been fussier than usual. and he's been sleeping like an angel...until last night, when he refused to lay down in his bed. i guess he's so proud that he can sit up on his own, he thought it'd be a good idea to sleep this way. so...a 5 hour battle ensued...i'd rock him, he'd be asleep, and the moment his head hit the bed, we were back at square 1. he'd sit back up, i'd let him cry...vicious cycle. i wish i would've video-ed the baby monitor so you could have seen how pitiful it was...he was sitting there falling asleep, fighting with the sleeve of his pj's. at 12:05, he finally crashed...only to be crawling around at 12:15. after a bottle and yet more rocking, i laid him in his bed asleep, thinking SWEET SUCCESS. just as i got snuggled in my bed, he wakes up and sits up again...it is now 1:15. he gives it all the fight he's got left, but FINALLY crashes for good at 1:17. ridiculous, absolutely ridiculous. i hope we're not up for another round of it tonight...anybody got any suggestions?!!!

I SO feel for you - you need a massage after all of that! But, he's so cute, isn't it all worth it??
I'm so sorry. We went through this with our Will too. We finally had to let him "cry it out" much worse on the parents let me just say! Hope it doesn't take you so long with your Will.
poor little guy...poor momma and daddy! Sounds like a rough week... I hope things go smoother tonight. I'm so proud that he's crawling. Let me just tell you that its a whole new ballgame now that he's crawling...Joe is in to EVERYTHING!
I hope Warren managed to get a good nights sleep!
Sorry to hear about your rough night Elaine. When Jackson finally figured out how to pull up, he decided it would be a good idea to just jump over the railing on his crib (which we thought was plenty low, although not on the lowest setting). Needless to say, I hear a sound hit the floor and then hear Melissa yell my name.
Anyway, just trying to make you feel a little better.
